The town have made a promise to use fully biodegradable, organic, fairtrade, unbleached, recycled carrier bags. To ensure the message is really being pushed out, the retailers have also commissioned 2,000 official Modbury bags, which some are debating they could too become collectors’ – so watch out Anya!
